This summer, United Airlines is waging a battle against post-flight dull skin and bad breath in collaboration with Asutra and Ua Body.
Traveling domestically with United Airlines this summer? Business class passengers are in for a sky-high skincare treat. From August 1, travelers on the legacy carrier's premium transcontinental services will receive a new amenity kit featuring Venus Williams' endorsed Asutra products.
There's nothing worse than stepping off your flight with crunchy skin and horrible breath. The low humidity associated with high altitudes and recycled cabin air can leave any frequent flyer's skin feeling dry, dull, and desperate for hydration after six hours in the air, something United Airlines and Asutra CEO Stephanie Morimoto has picked up on.
Collaborating with premium wellness brand Asutra, the carrier will offer a glitzy new amenity kit free of parabens, phthalates, and petroleum to ensure cruelty-free and clean cleansing options. Items include a cleansing face towelette, nourishing lip balm, magnesium and mango seed-based hand cream, a bamboo toothbrush, and a branded eye mask for in-flight napping.
"We're really proud of these amenity kits – fantastic new partners, exclusive products, and high-end ingredients. Our customers are going to love them. These kits, customized for our transcontinental and Hawaii-bound travelers, are just the latest way we're working to make the travel experience even better at United," explained Peter Wolkowski, Director of Onboard Product Design at United Airlines.
The kits are currently exclusive to passengers flying between New York and the West Coast; however, later this month, the carrier is set to release a Hawaii-based range as part of a partnership with Hawaiian natural skincare specialists, Ua Body, for services to Honolulu (HNL). United Airlines' Hawaiian range will similarly feature a moisturizing lip balm, hand cream, and a unique facial spray comprising naturally sourced Kukui and Sandalwood oil.

True to Hawaii's state-wide sustainability pledges, Ua Body's kit will also feature an eye mask made from sustainable materials, a biodegradable bamboo toothbrush, and a reusable pouch with artwork designed by local artist Christie Shinn, inspired by the Hawaiian archipelago.
"We're honored to be working with such a powerful partner in United, and proud to continue showcasing our Hawaiian heritage to the world through our handcrafted products," added Founder and CEO of Ua Body, Leala Humbert.
The new amenity kits come as United Airlines looks to overhaul and update its business and first class offerings, adding a mix of contemporary interiors and opening several exciting United Club lounge locations across North America.
In July, the carrier unveiled its new domestic first-class seat, subsequently debuting on its Boeing 737 narrowbody fleet. The upgraded seat offers a mix of comfort and tech, with vegan leather upholstery, 13-inch in-flight entertainment (IFE) setback screens, enhanced Bluetooth connectivity, and stylish Italian quartzite cocktail tables to rest your United Polaris' selected wines on. The interior is set to continue rolling out through the summer season across United Airlines 737 and Airbus A320 family aircraft, with over 200 planes offering the premium domestic seating by 2025.
