Jul 27, 2023Turkish Airlines Renews All Inflight Menus With Local & Nutritious Twists
Turkish Airlines has revamped menus in all classes with a focus on sustainable and nutritious meals.
Turkish Airlines has revealed a complete makeover for its inflight meals. The Turkish flag carrier has always prided itself on offering some of the best inflight dining services, but has kicked things up a notch, adding locally sourced Turkish delights and five star food in every class.
The new menus Turkish Airlines has released will feature fresh, healthy foods from around the world. While many of the cuisine options come from various cultures, the airline has ensured that it will offer Turkish-inspired dining options whenever and wherever possible. It has chosen to do so as a tribute to its heritage, and to support local producers. Indeed, 80% of its ingredients are sourced from local suppliers.
All of these new menu products are prepared daily by professional chefs using fresh ingredients. The chefs use boutique cooking methods to cook large quantities of high-quality food. After being prepared, the food is taken to the airline's hubs and rapidly distributed to the various Turkish Airlines flights. This keeps the food as fresh as possible, enabling passengers to enjoy a high-quality meal at 30,000 feet.

Turkish Airlines introduced its new range of dishes at a lavish event in Istanbul today. As well as hearing about the airline's food choices and seeing the plated dishes, attendees got to enjoy a food 'fashion show.'
Members of Do & Co's catering team as well as Turkish Airlines cabin crew members brought each dish around, giving everyone the opportunity to enjoy the care and presentation that had gone into the food. The highlight, however, was seeing it all brought together on the tray as it would be served in flight.
Business and economy class passengers will now have access to this beautiful cuisine offered by the airline. Different choices are available depending on the cabin class, and menus vary between domestic, short haul and long haul flights. It has to be said that all look incredible, regardless of class or flight type.
Economy class passengers will have access to breakfast, lunch, and dinner options, depending on the time of the flight. The breakfast options include egg dishes, cheese varieties, and homemade muesli. For lunch and dinner, things like pasta, grilled onions, and regional appetizers are on offer..
Passengers seated near the plane's nose in business class will have access to everything offered to economy class passengers, plus additional options. Items include spaghetti and dumplings, grilled fish and hand-minced Adana kebab.
Like those in economy class, business class passengers can also access various regionally inspired appetizers. Additionally, for breakfast, business class passengers can choose between pancakes, French toast, or crêpes.
Business class passengers will also have access to detox drinks and non-alcoholic cocktails. The airline has shared that while they are excited about these new offerings, they are not the last it plans to release in the coming future. It plans to continuously improve its inflight offerings giving it an edge over its competition in the in-flight dining space.
